The Other City Council Decision
As mentioned earlier, Toronto City Council votes today on whether or not to support the recommendations in the Sustainable Transportation Initiatives report. (Today's agenda is available online.) Whether it's because of a certain other vote, or because of widespread support, I haven't heard of any opposition to the ideas proposed.
The recommendations are available online as part of the October 3rd Public Works Committee meeting (pdf). To save people from searching through city documents, I've pasted the recommendations in our forum for convenient perusal.

So, what happen? Did they vote on the recommendations in the report? Or has it been deferred? I can only find articles on the tax vote.
I haven't heard, Annie. I've asked one of the councillors, but haven't heard back yet. If anyone knows the outcome, please share!

City Council has not gotten to that item on their agenda yet so discussion has not even started.
it passed
I think I'll have a glass of red wine tonight to celebrate...
I called the City Clerk's office and the results of the session should be on the site within the next day or so. But, be warned, there were a number of ammendments. While I was expecting the details in a fax, I didn't get them. I do know that 2 more scramble intersections have been added to Yonge & Bay and Bloor & Yonge. Yonge & Dundas and Bay & Dundas have been added, thanks to Kyle Rae.
I've got my glass of wine right here and I'm not pouring it out!
I was at Bay and Dundas today and actually thought to myself that it would be a great intersection for a pedestrian scramble.
Here's hoping none of the amendments will be disappointing. :^(

...pour me a goblet, will you? LOL
