Anarchy at its best! We don't need no official-looking pieces of steel to have common sense; we **** use chalk instead!
Is "just" such an insulting word?
It's discouraging, though unfortunately expected, to see a few cyclists behave on multi use paths the way some motorists behave on the roadway.
Admittedly the risk to pedestrians from cyclists is much less than the risk to cyclists from motorists, but that doesn't excuse bad behaviour, and it detracts from the moral argument cyclists make about how we expect to be treated on the road. Some of those folk on foot we pass on the multi use path will be back in their SUV's later.
This has always been more about safe practices, good manners, and acting responsibly than it's been about modes of transport. Let's look out for one another!

Based on the photo above, I think the market tents might be better situated away from the paths so that congestion isn't forming around these MUP arteries.
This morning I had a dog walker blindly step in front of me without looking left or right.
Another time I had a group of kids just standing in the path and not moving out of the way. Were they ignoring my bell?
Some pedestrians just don't share the road. At least with some grass around you can safely ride around them. I wish the MUP's were wider.
