PWIC 2011-11-03: Who's going? What will you talk about?
There's a lot that affects bikes and cycling in Toronto being discussed at the Public Works and Infrastructure Committee on Thursday, such as:
PW9.6 King-Liberty Pedestrian/Cycle Bridge Class Environmental Assessment Study
PW9.7 Review of Paid Duty Officers' Traffic Control Assignments
PW9.9 Feasibility of a Pilot Project for Separated Bicycle Lanes on Richmond Street and/or Adelaide Street
PW9.10 Amendments to Chapter 743, "Use of Streets and Sidewalks," of the Toronto Municipal Code - Final Report
PW9.11 Harmonization and Enforcement of Sidewalk Cycling By-Laws in the City of Toronto
So, who will be going, and which item(s) will you be speaking to?
And, what surprise motions are you expecting to see this time?

Thanks for this heads-up Anthony, and the listings of what items could impact cycling, and yes, there could be a surprise motion or two eh?
For instance, will 9.10 include a motion to ban bicycles from both sidewalks and major roads?
Will 9.7 authorize use of excessive force to keep cyclists from using a public road during roadwork? as mere (illegal) signs saying cyclists dismount etc. aren't effective enough as some cyclists insist upon their right to use the roadway.
The above are somewhat facetious, but I think a degree of malign intent should be presumed. If malign intent is too strong, then plain old carism is the mindset.
