Ummm ..
A certain deficiency strikes me with regard to this. Where is the planning for bicyclists? Dufferin and the Allen Road though not preferred routes by any means in my book are not limited access highways. Taking away the curb lanes for busways makes it all the more inhospitable. I'm not negating the need for transit right of ways just that bicyclists require consideration in planning. With no curb lane bicycle use will be even further deterred unless some other facility is installed. This road would be suited to a grade separated bikeway and providing such south from the Toronto border linking to Transit Road bike lanes in turn linking to Wilson would go a long way to improving bicycle access in this vicinity.
Toronto really needs a network of bicycle facilities enabling regional transport. Missing the boat on this one sets us back AGAIN.

The TTC hasn't exactly been a champion for bicycling issues but nevertheless requires the support of bicyclists and pedestrians in projects and making up rider share. That said construction and station projects appear to pander to motorists. Kiss and rides and pedestrian hostile station approaches as the lack of sidewalks from St Clair into Warden station illustrate this. I can appreciate maneuvering buses around bicyclists complicates an operators day. That said bicyclists are entitled road users and as such accomodating bicyclists in this project and on Transit Road makes a great deal of sense.
