Flagrant misuse of the forum for personal gain...Critical Mass + Coffee?

Okay first off my apologies for using the forum for this but might as well give it a shot.

I'm seeking that single fit, passionate, educated, activist type female who will be riding in the Critical Mass ride this Friday and perhaps looking for a like minded partner.

I'm 26, male, very fit, masters educated, got a job, road bike and looking for someone who can spark my interest, someone who'd join me for some deep conversation/argument for the sport over coffee/tea/or a pint.

If you're interested send me a message and I'll fwd pics and I guess we can go from there. Or let me know in some way below and we can get in touch.

Again apologies to those who are tricked by the title.

Not interested (and I don't meet the criteria), but this is far more interesting than the e-bike debate. Let us know how it works out. :)

.. and seen your hateful comments:

The good thing is that soon enough you e-bikers will get fat and too large for your bikes and will jsut go back to driving.

Or maybe that's the kind of cyclist-date you are looking for!

I am happily bikey-boy attached, but I think this would make a fun thread of single cyclists looking, the observers can then vote who to set who up with, haha :)

I have read his posts and would not want him raising my child.

Ah forget it, I'm siding against the e-biker arrogance and with my lycra clad comrade.

You e-bikers and your self-righteous overzealous defense of your stupid lazy man bikes have fully made an enemy here.

What's the point of a green future when the society is filled with jerks.

The good thing is that soon enough you e-bikers will get fat and too large for your bikes and will jsut go back to driving.

Or you wait until the province's heavy hand comes crashing down on your little scam."

His full tantrum for your pleasure/warning.

On a completely unrelated note I am single.

Not surprised to see the gals throwing water on anyone hoping to find a like-minded companion.

Toronto is known as a chilly city for a good reason.

I vote to set up "Theo with Random Cyclist"....Match made in heaven...LOL

Random cyclist:

Try reading more of the forum (like a forum thread theo has posted in) then make a rational comment that isn't one big steriotype.

I bet you've never even been to Toronto, RC.

You lose the bet, I live in Toronto.

I'm aware I was referencing a common stereotype (note spelling, lol) for Toronto, there's often a good reason for stereotypes to build. Saying that, I know many warm and friendly gals - many will be at Critical Mass.
I think it's sweet that Theo is reaching out and looking for someone with similar interests to be with. I don't think he posted anything outrageous, sure he was frustrated with the way a thread was going but so were several other people.

Why do you feel a need to dump cold water on a fellow cyclist who reaches out?

"I dont think he posted anything outrageous," -RC

Right...

I'd like to know your definition of outrageous.

I never dumped any water, I posted two quotes.
Pick your battles.

"there's often a good reason for stereotypes to build"

I'll throw some cold water on that though.

"ster·e·o·type
n.
1. A conventional, formulaic, and oversimplified conception, opinion, or image."

That means you're ignorant, RC.

I didn't create the stereotype and know it's oversimplified. That's WHY I called it a stereotype, geddit?
Anyway, we each made our point, now you can search for another guy to dump cold water upon.

Maybe tonight at the Mass? lol.

"I didn't create the stereotype and know it's oversimplified."
Interesting contrast from...
"there's often a good reason for stereotypes to build"

Not worth my time RC. Get an account and make a non-negative & logcial post please.

Where do you think stereotypes come from? There's often a truth involved.
You say I'm not worth your time but you still want me to make a response that fits your view. LOL, sounds like "fun".

Not only do you dampen potential relationships but you make sure Toronto gals keep their frosty stereotypes with your responses. Try to lighten up a bit.

make a non-negative & logical post please.

To protect Theo from overzealous women??

;-)
