Yonge underpass bike lane ribbon cutting

There was a ribbon cutting for the new bike lane on Yonge that runs a handful of blocks from Queens Quay to Front Street. It complements the new Simcoe underpass and bike lane that also helps us connect to the waterfront.

It was always a bit of a harrowing challenge to get up from the water-front trail/Queens Quay because of all the traffic at lake shore rd and the various gardiner interchanges...

This is one that works, and makes sense. What I object to are the lanes built as a sop to us, which end where they are difficult to accommodate (in front of hotels, or Union, etc) which is just where they are most needed. The solution is proper traffic enforcement, but it'll take a lot of teaching to dudes who drive in to police from the 905.
