Even More Biking Facilities in Ward 26

in

Hi All,

Ward 26 is fairly buzzing with new bike infrastructure going in just over the past few weeks.

It seems the private sector is joining the trend in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, where they have just installed new bike racks created in a joint project with Ryerson University.

The racks, custom designed, built, and commissioned by Ryerson Students and Mount Pleasant Group, sit alongside the Belt Line Trail in Mount Pleasant Cemetary, allowing cyclists who wish to stop and enjoy the sylvan serenity of the Mount Pleasant grounds to do so.

It's also notable that Mount Pleasant Cemetary is private property, and yet its operators maintain and provide the only publicly accessible bike trail on private property in Toronto, linking the Belt Line Trail which crosses Toronto to newly built bike lanes on Moore Avenue.

If you havn't tried one of the East End's best kept secrets, try riding the Belt Line Trail from Moore Avenue to as far west as you please, the end being Keele in West Toronto. And be sure to take a break at the great new bike racks in Mount Pleasant Cemetary.

Cheers,
Brian
