How to use all the recovered bikes
so if we're at 3000 and counting with all these recovered bikes... how do we put them to good use?
I don't think there's any question that very few owners will be reunited with these bikes, and the cops might try to sell them at auctions, but I think they should be pressured to do something worthwhile with them. At a time when active transportation is gaining momentum, this seems like a wonderful opportunity to get bikes on the streets.
Despite the fact that there are ongoing costs associated with bike share programs, I think the cops should give these bikes to the province, who should farm them out to all the cities in Ontario to set up bike share programs.
Toronto's finest and most neighbourly gentlemen (Igor Kenk) has made headlines again today. Apparently he's attempting to give back to Toronto residents. His latest gift, attempting to deliver a steel pipe upside someone's head while after being caught breaking into their property. (Of course, this is all alleged at the moment).
