a short writeup, pointing out the very short timing on the northbound bike signal crossing at this intersection

A problem well observed and documented that might take another life at that intersection.
The city's bike department needs to see this - they can be pretty responsive.

What's the process these days to get a complaint like this across to them? In the pre-Ford days, we had a cycling committee where one could look Dan Egan into the eye and get a reaction (which then was documented by the minutes of the event).

So now, an email to his department? Maybe the Bike Union could throw its weight behind it and raise the visibility? Or do we have to go to the Toronto Star and increase that paper's civic powers when they raise the issue in a "Fixer" article?

I got an e-mail through to the relevant traffic engineer a couple of months ago, but haven't had any response. I'll send a link to my writeup to them tomorrow to see if that does anything.

I ride through that intersection pretty much daily on my to and from work route. I'd say, anecdotaly, that there's more time now. Either that or I am faster. Does anyone know more?
