Now i see why some cyclists lose it on driver
Riding along front street i noticed a car parked in a bike lane now being the non confrontive type i pulled up beside her to tell her that she was illegally parked in a cyclsts lane as i pulled up beside her she spit out a peice of chewing gum which landed on me not apologizing or anything she just rolled her window up. Thankfully as i've gotten older i've also matured and learned to control my temper which is a feet if you ask any of the guys i grew up with instead of jumping off my bike or yelling and screaming at her i decided to ride away, the one thing i did learn about this lesson is why so many people have opted to just yell and scream at the drivers instead of trying to inform them nicely that they are committing a traffic infraction needless to say me personally i'll try to continue to inform them in a nice manner but i've finally realized why some people have opted for the other way.

not to say most cyclists don't go through stuff like this all the time just felt the need to complain
Good for you, Andrew.
Don't go to her level, you're a better person for it.
You did the right thing to point out what she's doing wrong. Then instead of anger quietly give her a look of pity.
you have a temper and you should use it.
that is blatantly dangerous and disrespectful what she did.
However, if i was the driver I would have spit my gum at you too. Mind your own business and just ride on around her.
People are dumb, people in cars are even dumber, the metal exoskeleton gives them the cobbles. So If you're not prepared to be a bit aggro then don't start an issue.
I missed this thread before....but where is there a bike lane on Front St.? I don't remember seeing it, and it's not on the bike map.
Maybe the person means Queen's Quay's bike lane?
