Question About bike tubes

in

I am new to this forum and have a question that some may think is dumb but I would like to get answered. Here goes.. will a tube that fits in a tire 26 x 2.10 work in a tire 26 x 2.00. I want to take the tubes from the 26 x 2.10 bike and put them on the bike that has tires 26 x 2.00 Because I don't have the money right now for new tubes.

Thanks...Greg

It might be possible but you'll have to be really careful not to have folds in the tube and make sure it doesn't get pinched by the tire. Maybe it will work for you, maybe not.

You could also try one of the affordable DIY shops like Bike Sauce, Bike Pirates or Community Bicycle Network.

Thanks for your help. I'll try it and see if it works or not.

Just for general information and in reply to the above inquiry. Most tubes have a range of sizes that they will fit. In this instance the 26" tube in question will fit from a 26 x1.90 to a 26 x 2.125, normally this range of sizing is shown on the tube.

Thanks for the information.

Wow! I'm really enjoying the design of your weblog. Are you using a custom template or is this readily available to all users? If you don't want to say the name of it out in the general public, please contact me at: Boudle56@live.com. I'd love to get my hands on this template! Thank you. Leo Disbrow
