No "Coldest Day of the Year" ride this year?

I believe there will be a coldest ride. I heard that there will be a Cyclometer coming out soon with perhaps an announcement on this. I have heard, however, that there won't be Bike Awards this year.

We can still go for ride on the coldest day of the year. However, city's staff won't be organising it this year. It seems that with BIXI and other initiatives, staff have to much on their plate and have let the ride, and the award ceremony, go on hiatus this year.

Apparently, finances are not the problem, as the city had sponsors pay for most, if not all, the costs for the events. The problem is not enough staff (time) to accomplish everything.

I'm hoping that staff will have the time to make this happen next year, or at least that we will find out with enough lead time to organize these events for ourselves.
