Winning Campaigns© Training in Toronto!

The Thunderhead Alliance for Biking and Walking is a U.S. based coalition of bicycle and pedestrian advocacy organizations. TCAT is a member and we have found their expertise and resources invaluable. The Thunderhead Alliance is partnering with the Toronto Coalition for Active Transportation and the Toronto Cyclists Union to bring Thunderhead's signature Winning Campaigns© Training to Toronto on March 27-29th to be held at the Centre for Social Innovation, 215 Spadina Avenue, Suite 400.

The “Winning Campaigns Training” uses custom, intense curriculum focused on the seven key skills of effective campaigners, in the context of organization building. Thunderhead Trainings are intended for any potential campaign leader in your organization who would benefit from gaining the tools to craft and manage powerful advocacy campaigns. Through the generosity of Thunderhead Alliance and Planet Bike, the Toronto training registration fees are offered at a reduced rate. Space is limited so register early to avoid disappointment!

Human Power Possibilities

Thanks to pedals, treadles, and cranks, our muscles have operated machines since Medieval times. Could we once again rely on human power, rather than fossil fuels, to run our lives? How much power can one person generate? Discover the answers to these questions and learn about ingenious human-powered contraptions used around the globe today.

The event is hosted by Fertile Ground bookstore and will feature demonstrations of pedal-powered devices used at Chocosol.

You can also learn more about the book at: www.thehumanpoweredhome.com
