The Advocacy for Respect for Cyclists is seeking volunteers for Saturday September 15th 12noon to 2pm in the Pharmacy Ave and Lawrence Ave area to deliver flyers and posters seeking information in the death of Patrick Lonergan.

Patrick Lonergan was riding his bicycle in the area on the morning of Sunday September 2nd when he was struck down by a stolen truck. The driver has not been apprehended. Patrick was a mentally challenged individual who faced more obstacles every day than most people face in a lifetime, his best friend has told us he faced each day with a smile.

Please help us on Saturday. The more people we have the more flyers we can deliver. This story has been virtually ignored by the press.

We also need people who can translate a third of a page of writing into Italian or Portuguese.

If you can help out please contact Darren Stehr at darrenstehrgmail.com
or 416-707-4744

Here's a posting of near daily cycling news from across the country, and sometimes interesting things from around the world. If I missed a worthy piece, please pass it on to me. As always, comments welcome.

From an esteemed co-worker, a link to a video on how to think like a thief and avoid getting your bike stolen. I'll let you be the judge on its effectiveness:
